a differently branded faction
of wholly owned subsidiaries;

who also march in lockstep
to the profits of death's drumbeat,
deploying "the law" to snuff out
lives of colour the world over,
but speak well in their
emotionally appealing photo ops,
whilst their actions
are routinely ignored
by the abdicated media

and an entertained
faithful following
of distracted consciences,
who reap the rewards
of a "lesser" billed
complacent complicity

in the privileged,
denial-dented,
destitute box
of manifested destiny's
'exceptionally'
'essential'
duopoly of evil,

thus preventing the untoward,
almost unprecedented predicament
of the Apparency
of Democracy's
falling into
the wrong hands.
