a poem for Hassan (etched by a lacerated heart)

for there he was,
holding up the spirits
of
so very many

truly independent souls,

the kind the "rules based"
responsibility erased
violence steepled
fascism templed

(delusion contusioned)

racism corded (wagon circling)
profit sworded (mass murder projecting)
consciousness thwarted (reflection disinfecting)

freedom to kill instilled
war porn thrilled
AI chilled
boarder hoarding order

(obviously)

has no use for.

and so,
with the mockery of democracy's
lorded over
tax dollars in tow,

along came those
"anti-Semitism" insolated
pure race percolated
free range arranged
"protection" deranged
apartheid fanged

(respect for others hanged)

genocidal attack dogs,


believing still

they had the power

to snuff those candles out.
